Return Grille Filters
Install it, and forget it! For at least six months, anyway. Return-Air Grille Filters are designed to fit existing 1-inch return-air filter grilles. These deep-pleated filters are designed with a minimum 4" filter depth that provides up to 9 times the media area of a comparable 1" filter, which greatly reduces pressure drop (air flow resistance) while increasing service life.
We stock the leading brands of Honeywell, Accumulair, and Quality Filters. They can last 6 months to a year in most home and light commercial installations. These high efficiency filters are offered in MERV 8, 11, and 13 ratings. They trap dust particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pet dander, mold spores, bacteria and pollen, before they can collect on your a/c system's coils, or or in your nose!.
Note: It's recommended allowing a depth of at least seven inches behind the grille to provide space for the deeper filter and airflow through the filter.
