The Honeywell FC40R1177 Return Grille Filter - 24x30 is a cartridge-style air filter that mounts in most return filter grilles. The Honeywell return air grille filter is constructed 3 inches thick for a higher efficiency than 1 inch filters. This Honeywell grille filter reduces particulates in your air through its MERV 10 rating.
Honeywell recommends replacing the filter every 12 months, or more often if the filter appears dirty to the point of blocking air flow through the heating/cooling equipment.
Pleated for greater surface capacity, it provides a MERV 10 efficiency rating and captures particles as small as 0.3 microns!
Low pressure drop reduces strain on equipment, provides a comfortable air flow, and maintains equipment efficiency longer than standard filters.
Note: Honeywell recommends allowing a depth of at least seven inches behind the grille to provide space for the deeper filter and airflow through the filter.
Note: Honeywell has changed the depth of their return grill air filters from 4 inches down to 3 inches. Due to existing item inventory you may still receive a 4 inch filter.
